Pateros – Bessie Brownlee, 87, a pioneer resident of Pateros, died Saturday. Born in Iowa Nov. 27, 1873, she later lived in South Dakota and Wisconsin. She married Andrew Brownlee in 1892 in South Dakota and they came to Pateros in 1903. He preceded her in death in 1957.
Surviving are one daughter, Bertha Fields, Wenatchee; four sons, Siegel Brownlee, Stanwood, Maynard Brownlee, Methow, Fleetice Brownlee, Spokane, and Lowell Brownlee, Seattle; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
