Rev. Nicholas Van Cossaboon was the son of Benjamin M. and Mary Ann (Clevenger) Van Cossaboon. He was the husband of Lillian (Pierce) Van Cossaboon. They were married February 9, 1901. Lillian died August 23, 1968. He was a minister in the Maryland Conference of the Methodist Protestant Church L 1902. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church/The Methodist Church Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1913 F 1915. He was ordained Deacon Sunday, October 11, 1915 in Rochester: West Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church by Bishop William Burt. He was ordained Elder Sunday, October 7, 1917 in Rochester: Grace Methodist Episcopal Church by Bishop Frank Milton Bristol.
