Wanda Gifford Jones Eggett Petric, 87, died Dec. 5, 2004.
Born May 15, 1917 in Springdale, Utah to Moses Elias and Mary Etta McGee Gifford Jr. Married James A. Jones June 28, 1935 in the St. George LDS Temple to whom four children were born, James M (Carol Ann) Jones, Carol Jean (Junior) Adams, Jacqueline Wanda (Gary) Ballard, and Etta May (Ellsworth) Johnson. They later divorced. She then married Cleo S. Eggett, Jan. 7, 1952 to whom two children were born Cleo Brent (Nelda) Eggett, and Brenda Eggett, they then later divorced. Married Nick Petric, March 3, 1964, he preceded her in death.
She loved her six children 25 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchild-ren and eight great-great-grand-children. four brothers Wayne, Reed, Grover and Pat Gifford and one sister Delilah Beesley. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister, four grandchildren and a daughter-in-law.
She was active in the LDS Church.
The family gives heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Draper Rehab Care Center for their loving care given to their mother the last two and a half years.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Bluffdale 1st Ward 14400 So. 1700 W.; Friends may call Wednesday eve. from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 S. 2200 W. and on Thurs. one a half hours Prior at the church. Interment at Redwood Estates.
