She was born July 11, 1941 to William and Minnie Long Nichols. She was a homemaker and married Paul E. Runnells on Aug. 21, 1959, and he survives.
Other survivors are her sons, Brian E. Runnells and wife Melissa, of Avon, Darrell K. Runnells, of Greencastle; sisters, Gertrude York, Mary Ann Robinson, both of Greencastle, Betty Newkirch, of Kansas, Marie Hall, of Kentucky, Phyllis York, of Kentucky, Janet Pierce, of Putnamville, Kathy Summerlot, of Coatesville; brothers, Billy Nichols, of California, and Ronnie Nichols, of Reelsville; four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Thomas Keith and Eddie Nichols.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home with calling from 5 until 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery.
