Solemn Rites Held Wed. For Mrs. Joseph Hoheisel

Solemn funeral rites were held at St. Joseph's Church, Pierz, Wednesday morning, at ten for Mrs. Joseph Hoheisel, 84, who passed away at her home in the village at 9 p.m., Saturday, after a year's illness with dropsy. Celebrant of the Requiem was Rev. Robert Voigt, with Rev. Robert Schulzetenberg and Rev. Richard Leisen assisting as deacon and subdeacon. Interment was in the Pierz cemetery.

Six grandsons served as pallbearers: Marvin Hoheisel, Richard Bujalski, Jr., Reuben Hoheisel, Leander Meyer, Joe Herold and Leland Schmidtbauer.

Mrs. Hoheisel, the former Mary Millner, was born in Austria and came to the United States when 8 years old. She married Joseph Hoheisel at Pierz November 3, 1895. They farmed in Pierz Township and retired in Pierz 23 years ago.

Besides her husband, the following sons and daughters survive: Mrs. Leo Zenner (Barbara), Belgrade; Mrs. Bert Marn (Anna), St. Paul; Mrs. Ray Herold (Florentine), Mrs. Math Schmidtbauer (Mary), Frank, Jr., Mrs. Wm. Meyer (Catherine), Alfred and Mrs. Richard Bujalski (Hildegard), all of this place; and Joseph, Jr., Buckman.

There are 29 grandchildren and 4x great grandchildren.

Brothers and sisters surviving are: John Millner, Little Falls; Math Millner, Pierz; Mrs. Frank Heigl (Johanna), Buckman; Sister Conrada, International Falls; and Mrs. Peter Weiss (Magdalena), Lastrup.
