He was born June 22, 1867 at Buffalo, Mo., and was a member of the Baptist church in Missouri.
Surviving are his children, an aunt, 44 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
His wife, Mrs Elnora Short Southard, whom he married Aug. 14, 1887, preceded him in death as did three sons, Melvin, Henry and Roy Southard
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday afternoon from Macys drawing room, with interment at Linn Grave.
