Lilly Horn of Rt. 2, Box 3, Elgin, Or, died Friday, Jan. 5th, 1973 at the age of 69.
Mrs. Horn was born on May 28, 1903 at Greeley, Colorado, the daughter of Noah and Ellanora Southard. On January 26, 1920 she was married to Clarence Ray Horn at Greeley, Colorado. In 1937 they moved to Imbler, a year later they moved to High Valley and three years after that they moved to Elgin. Mr. Horn preceded his wife in death in March of 1963. Mrs. Horn was a former member of the V.F.W. auxiliary.
Survivors include daughters, Lorrene Sanderson and Betty Erickson, both of Elgin; Barbara Hudspeth, Smartsville, Calif., and Virginia McLeod, Bandon, Oregon; sons, Lawrence Horn, Edwin V Horn and Danny Horn, all of Hermiston; Glenn Horn, Stanley Horn and Vance Horn, all of Elgin. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice, in 1932 and a son, Eugene Ray Horn, in 1969. She is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Erving J. Southard, Kimball, Nebraska, and other relatives.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan.9, 1973 at the Elgin Christian Church with Rev. Willian E. Miller officiating. Concluding services will follow at the Elgin Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Daniels Valley Funeral Chapel.
