Devoted wife to Albert and dear mother of Marjorie, Irvin, Dolores, Ruth, Charles, Janet, Vi, Joan, and James.

Agnes was the daughter of Lithuanian immigrants William and Magdeline Grinkevich. She was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania and was one of eight children in the family although three didn't live past early childhood. She moved with her parents and at least two brothers to Steger, Illinois, and then to central Wisconsin where her family farmed at the Town of Little Black.

Eventually she met Albert Pupp at a dance at Dorchester.
They married in Cicero May 21, 1927 and started a family. (Albert's sister Mary married Agnes' brother Joseph Grinker the following year.) Agnes Elizabeth Grinkevich worked at the Brach's candy factory and at Crown Stove Works in Chicago, IL. Soon enough Agnes had a full time job as a housewife and mother of nine. Both Catholics, Albert and Agnes raised their children Catholic as well. The family lived in the Chicago area for a few years then moved their growing family to Holton and then Dorchester in central Wisconsin until WWII began and Albert's work brought the family to Milwaukee. They lived there the rest of their lives and were married 49 years at the time of Albert's death in 1976.

Agnes loved houseplants and flowers especially African violets of which she had many varieties. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a kind and sweet tempered person. She was a proficient cook and baker turning out many delicious meals for her large family. When her grandchildren visited she always had homemade cookies, cake and breads on hand to satisfy their sweet tooth. Agnes loved children and babies and her sweet, loving nature made them love her.

In addition to being a mother of nine children and their spouses, she left behind 37 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and numerous friends.
