Dolores Helen Willems, 89, peacefully passed into heaven on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at
Hospice House in Mountain Home. Born to Albert Paul Pupp and Agnes Elizabeth Grinkevich
Pupp in Holton, Wisconsin, on January 5, 1932, she was predeceased by her husband John S.
Willems who began his eternal life on Feb. 11, 2004. They had been married 50 years. She is
also predeceased by her daughter Susan (Joseph) Butler, Jonesboro Arkansas.

She is survived by her four children: Stephen (Lynn) Willems, Wernersville, Pennsylvania;
Kathy (Daniel) Hodnett, Mountain Home; Daniel (Lynn) Willems: Dallas, Texas; Paul (Jane)
Willems: Lubbock Texas; 7 grandchildren: John and David Butler, John, Katie, Ashleigh,
Emileigh, and Dane Willems, 2 great grandchildren: Kerrigan and Malcolm Butler; 3 sisters:
Ruth (the late Ronald) Seebruch, Janet (the late Jerry) Gall, Vi (Ray) Scroggins, and 1 brother:
Jim (Rose) Pupp, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2
brothers, Chuck (Leah) Pupp; Irvin (Helen)and 2 sisters, Marj (Art); Joan (the late Bill) Green.

Throughout her life, Dolores lived by and through her Catholic faith. Growing up in the
Depression created many obstacles, all which were overcome by her sharp intellect, strong work
ethic and accurate moral compass. While working as a sales clerk at L. Wiemann Co. in
Milwaukee she met John Willems. She had been promoted to assistant manager by the time they
were married in 1953. Soon after, they started a custom home business "John S. Willems, Inc.,
Builders, Brokers and Designers of Fine Homes". Dolores was the accountant and managed
much of the business aspects of the company.

In 1969, after taking family vacations to Mountain Horne, Ark., they bought the Fish & Fiddle
Resort on Lake Norfork. During the 9 years they owned the resort Dolores enjoyed water skiing,
learned to catch and fry the elusive Rainbow Trout and raised a family, all while running the
business.

During the off season, and after retiring, Dolores and John were world travelers visiting over 20
different countries and all 50 states, often visiting family along the way.

Dolores served as a Eucharistic Minister for 27 years taking Communion to shut ins, and nursing
home residents. She volunteered at Baxter Regional Hospital for 28 years, and also found time to
volunteer for several years at the MH Christian clinic, and Kindness, Inc.

Her role as a mother was equal parts of love, teacher, leading by example, and when necessary--
disciplinarian. Guided by her devout faith and principles she took the job of mother very
seriously. Her legacy will live on through her children! A life well lived and may God be with
her.

A Special Thank you to the caregivers that helped so much in the last several months.

A Funeral Mass immediately preceded by the praying of the rosary will be said for the repose of
Dolores's soul Saturday, August 28, at 1:00 pm at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church followed
by interment at Baxter Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Dolores' grandchildren: John Paul Butler,
John Willems, Katie Bond, Ashleigh Marzak, Emileigh Willems, and Dane Willems.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church or Hospice of the Ozarks.
