JIM BRIGHT DIES IN MARION GENERAL HOSPITAL

Jim Harrison Bright, 53, of Old Hwy 70 West Old Fort, died Tuesday morning in a Marion hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Cocke County, Tennessee, he was the son of Luther Bright of Blue Ridge, Ga., and the later Bertha Bright. He was a former employee of the Blue Rigde division of Ethan Allen.

Surviving in addition to his father, are his wife Edith Lane Jones Bright: two sons, James Ricky and Randall Bright of Hayesville: two daughters, Connie Alexander of Inman, S.C. and Barbara Jo Bright of the home: a stepson, Dean Jones of Old Fort: three stepdaughters, Brenda Gail Roland and Vickie Diane and Gloria Jean Jones, all of Old Fort: a brother Will Bright and a sister, Rose Jenkins, both of Cosby, Tenn: and 5 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday ar Old Fort Wesleyan Methodist Church with th Rev. Ray Thomas and Don Farris Officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening (Wednesday) at McCall - Kirksey Funeral Home. Old Fort, where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes before the service hour.
