Mrs. Edith Benton White, 96, of Huntsville, died Tuesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Benton White, Dr. William H. Bostick and the Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. White was retired from the U.S. Army Missile Command.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia W. Walker of Huntsville; a son, the Rev. J. Benton White of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church welfare fund or one of the scholarships at the church.
