He was born Nov. 27, 1927, to Charles and Mary (Owens) Bentley at Yakima, where he grew up and attended school.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1946. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the Yakima area.
Mr. Bentley was injured in a train accident in Wenatchee in the fall of 1981 and became disabled. After periods of rehabilitation, he moved into Christopher House in Wenatchee.
Survivors include many friends including Jean Luebber and Joanne Sollinger, both of Wenatchee.
At his request there will be no services. Arrangements are by Jones and Jones Funeral Directors, Wenatchee.
