Obituary:

"Funeral servicees will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Chapel for Conrad S. Allen, 78, who passed away at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Blackfoot [Idaho] after an illness of several weeks. The Gooding LDS church will have charge of services. Burial will be at Hagerman.

Mr. Allen was a resident of Gooding county the past 30 years. He was well known rancher at Hagerman and Bliss.

Born in Salt Lake City March 28, 1874, he was a son of Samuel and Dorothy Allen [*should be Samuel Allen and Eliza Davids]. He was educated in Sandy, Utah.

He married Annie Anderson at Salt Lake City LDS temple. She passed away in 1916. Mr Allen farmed at St. Anthony and Dubois before coming to Gooding.

Survivors include three sons and three daughters: Narvel and Clide Allen, Bliss; Carlos Allen of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. J. O. [Florence] Mikesell of Spokane; Mrs. Clarence [Grace] Wells of Gooding; Mrs. Lloyd [Anita/Nettie] Bulger of Marysville, Calif. There are 30 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; three [half] brothers, James Allen of Lava Hot Springs; Julius Allen of St. Anthony; Francis Allen of Pocatello; two half brothers, Bert Nelson of Pocatello; Henry Nelson of Salt Lake City; three [half] sisters, Mrs. Carrie Hyde of Rupert, Mrs. Eliza Allen of Pocatello, and a half sister in Salt Lake City."

[*Conrad was the son of Samuel Jackson Allen & Elizabeth "Eliza" Dorthea Henriche DAVIDS, a half sister of of Samuel's wife Caroline Marie DAVIDS.]
