Joy Lasher, 74, of 200 Lincoln Ave., Butler formerly of Ford City, died Saturday, May 6, 1978, at the Butler County Memorial Hospital, Butler. She was born Sept. 3 1903, in West Franklin Township to Walter and Sarah Jane (Smith) Benton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ford City. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Phyllis) Thompson of Butler; brothers, Joseph Benton of Rochester, N.Y., John of Columbia, S.C., and Homer of Butler; and two grandchildren. Her Husband died in 1976. Lasher-Friends of Joy Lasher of Butler, formerly of Ford City, who died May 6, 1978, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning where the service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. David Ludeker of First Baptist Church, Ford City, in charge. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Arrangements by Snyder.
