She married John Sellers, son of Henry SELLERS, Sr., and Mary Magdalene HEDRICK, on October 16, 1822, at Friedens as well. The ceremony was conducted by her father, Rev. Brown.
Catherine and John were the parents of 8 children: Elizabeth Magdalene, Jerome Howard Brown, Elena Charles, Theodore Napoleon, John Wiklif, Samuel Addison, James Montgomery, and William Laten Sellers.
On June 10, 1835, her husband, John, purchased 253 acres from the heirs of Catherine's maternal grandfather, George Fall, Sr., and they made the move from Rockingham County, Virginia, to Churchville in Augusta County. While in Churchville, Catherine gave birth to her last two children, James and William.
Catherine died on May 17, 1842, at the age of 40. A younger sister, Julian (Young) Brown, and two of Julian's infant children, had died nine days earlier on May 8. Another younger sister, Adaline Brown, had died four months earlier on January 23 at the age of 20. Though the cause of death is unknown, it is suspected that she, and possibly her two siblings, died of a Yellow Fever epidemic that was prevalent in the region at the time.

CATHERINE SELLERS
Consort of Jno. SELLERS
Who departed this life May
17th, 1842,
Aged 40 years 2 months & 10 days.
I know that my redeemer lives
And often from the skies
Looks down and watches my dust
Till he shall bid it rise.
