GALESBURG - Lucille Kell, 87, of Galesburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 2, 2008.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1920, in Fulton County, the daughter of Vern and Leta Copeland.
Surviving are three daughters, Marcy Savage of Cutlerville, Mich., Marie Blake (Tony Blake) of Sparta, Mich., Shirley Daves of Citrus Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Helen Beers of Champaign and Marilyn Tompkins of Fairview; one brother, Dale Copeland of Bettendorf, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Kell; her brothers, Lavern and Marshall Copeland; and her sister, Dorothy Orwig.
She was an active member of Colonial Baptist Church and Senior Saints. She enjoyed photos, socializing, crafts, visiting family and sending cards.
The family would like to thank Sharon Dewitt-Nelson, Margaret Laullen, Rosewood Nursing Home and Community Hospice for their faithful care, assistance and support.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Colonial Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Prairie City Cemetery Prairie City. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Galesburg. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
