Janet Moffett was the daughter of Jeanette Whitton and Rear Admiral Wm. Adger Moffett (he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor (Mexican Campaign) and is known as the "Father of Naval Aviation").

She was the sister of Rear Admiral William Adger Moffett, Jr., Anna Beverly Mohan, Margaret Elizabeth Moffett, George Hall Moffett and Charles Simonton Moffett.

The Library of Congress owns a photo of "Miss Janet Moffett signing up President Coolidge for the Red Cross effort". Could it be the same Miss Moffett?

She married Elliott McFarlan Moore and had three children: Janet, William, and Elliott. She was widowed in 1933 when her husband's plane crashed. She married Griffith Mark in 1942 in Annapolis, MD and had two sons: Griffith Mark, Jr and Peter Mark.
