Frederick E. "Pep" Lutz, 75, of Lebanon, formerly of Belleville, died Monday, March 25, 1991, in Lebanon.
He was Chairman of the Board of Century Brass Works in Belleville, a Director Emeritus of Boatman Bank (formerly Belleville National Savings Bank), former State Director of Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Belleville Area College from 1966-1975, School Boards of McKendree College and Lebanon High School, Directo r of Illinois Housing Authority; member of Belleville Elks Lodge 48, St. Clair Lodge No. 24 A.F. & A.M., very active in many community functions and activities.
Preceding in death were his parents, Emil and Cecelia, nee Winter, Lutz.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn M., nee Wangelin, Lutz, whom he married in Belleville, on August 8, 1940; two daughters, Susan (Jon D.) Symer of Lebanon, and Debra (Ray) Boller of Chicago; a son, Jeffrey (Diane) Lutz of Belleville; four grandchildren, Wendy and Jill Symer, Justin and Katha Boller.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Chapel in Belleville, with Rev. Dr. Fred Cornell officiating. Entombment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the George Renner and Sons Funeral Home in Belleville.
