Kathleen (Crozier) Bennett, 80, died Saturday at Van Duyn after a long illness. Born in Syracuse, Kathleen was a graduate of St. Lucy's Academy, worked at GE in her younger days and lived in many states as she accompanied her husband in the restaurant business. They settled back in Syracuse, where Kathleen worked and retired from Hanford's. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going out to eat and shop in spite of her illness. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Dominick, and by her sister, Betty Blenn. Surviving are three daughters, Debra (Charles) Walker, Donna (Fred) Rhodes and Doreen (David) Dufresne; two brothers, John and Charles Crozier; three sisters, Jean Crozier, Ileane Virgin and Frances Allen; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Fay Rd. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Whelan Bros. Funeral Home, 3700 W. Genesee St. The Bennett Family would like to thank all who cared for our mother at Van Duyn, with a special thanks to her "son", Steve.
