Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Friday, June 27 at 8 a.m. for Theona "Tonye" Maye Gayle, 90, of El Centro.
She was born in Walters, Oklahoma. She met and married Arlo Gayle in May 1939. They had four children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo and granddaughter, Penny Madsen.
She is survived by her brothers, Camden and Leon Sudduth; daughters, Shirley Mitchell of Ione, Anita King of Lakeside; son, Troyce (Gloria) Gayle of Cherry Valley; daughter, Lynda (Pete) Preece of El Centro; grandchildren, Ronnie, Greg, Rhonda, Shelly, Pamela, Kristy, Troyce and Cynthia. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was loved and cherished by all and will be deeply missed.
