The funeral will be held Aug. 30 for David M. Pearson of French Gulch, Calif., formerly of Eugene, who died Aug. 16 at the age of 65. His family chose not to list the cause of death.
Pearson was born Oct. 7, 1937, in Eugene. He lived in Eugene from 1937 until 1962, when he moved to Shasta County, Calif. He worked as a school bus driver for the Redding Elementary School District for seven years. He transferred to the Shasta Union High School, where he worked as a bus driver for 30 years.
He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in French Gulch and the E Clampus Vitus Chapter 62 in Weaverville, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Katie; a son, Brian of French Gulch; a daughter, Lesley Pearson of French Gulch; a sister, Diane Hayes of Eugene; and one grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 30 at the French Gulch Community Church. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in French Gulch. Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding, Calif., is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to IOOF Cemetery, P.O.
