Rosa Anderson Earnest was born in Brownwood, Texas. She is the daughter of James Noble and Emily Denson Anderson, both originally from Missouri. Rosa was married to James Wesley Earnest and mother to Eva, James Phillip,Opal, William Roy and Herman Earnest.

Mrs. Rosa Earnest, 82, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.D. Payne on North Ware Road. Mrs. Earnest was a native of Brownwood and had lived in the Valley for the past 28 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Irwin Wesley of Winter Park, Florida; a son, W.R. Earnest, of Kingsville, TX; a sister, Mrs. J.P. Holmes of Elmer, OK, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held at 3 pm. at Virgil Wilson Chapel with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Mission. The Mission Chapter of Eastern Star will conduct graveside services.
