Georgia Ella Cobb was born Dec. 10, 1889, in Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Ella Thompson Cobb and George A. Cobb, and died on April 13, 1965.
On November 25, 1914, she married Ben H. Todd of Ida Grove, and their 50th anniversary last year was celebrated with great joy by Georgia and Ben and their three children, Carrol, George, and Ina Lou, all of whom came from California for the occasion.
Throughut her life, Mrs. Todd has been interested in youth, having worked with Girl Scouts, church youth groups and junior woman's club which she helped organize in Iowa. For over 20 years, she devoted her life to the work of the Childrens' Division of the State Board of Controls. She found great fulfillment in the work of the P.E.O. and so in memory of her interest in youth, the family has decided that undesignated donations will go to Chapter CB of Ida Grove to initiate a scholarship in her name. Other memorial funds will go to the Horn Memorial Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Todd is survived by her husband, Ben, at the family home and her 3 children, Carrol (Mrs. W. E. McFarland) of Torrence, CA., George D. Todd of Sunnyvale, CA., and Ina Lou (Mrs. L. E. Milgate() of Redwood City, CA. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Kathleen, Linda, and Debra McFarland; David and Steven Todd; and Laurie and Carol Milgate.
