Prickett Fences - Page 64 - Vol. 3 Issue 4 - Edward James Dunn, was born while his parents were living in a log house that belonged to James Waters. He was the joy & pride of the two families. Edward developed into a strong active man with a love of adventure. He was married first to Hannah Lloyd in 1873. For the next three years they farmed in Illinois near Edwards parents home. In 1877 they moved to a farm in Osborne County, Kansas with team & wagon. They later moved to a place near Liberal, Missouri. Misfortune overtook the young family when typhoid fever caused the death of Mrs. Dunn. For the next few years Edward worked at a variety of occupations through the mid west & finally came to Oregon where he was later married to Luella Wilkenson in 1894. He then followed the occupations of farming & merchandising in Oregon until his death in 1933.

The Death Record for Mr. Dunn states he died secondary to organic heart disease.
Incidentally, he'd been kicked by a horse on his farm Jan. 26, and sustained a left tibial leg fracture. It was surgically reduced and was causing no problem. It was incidental to the cause of death.
