William H. Colvin, 85, Humbodlt, died this morning at the Neosho Memorial Hospital in Chanute after a short illness. Mr. Colvin was born at Bagnall, Missouri, April 20, 1882.

He came to Humboldt from Washington state in 1946. He was a retired shipyard worker and was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humboldt. He was married to Bessie Williams May 10, 1914, at Tuscumbia, Missouri.

Survivors include his widow of the home; eight daughters, Viola Gifford, Auburn, Washington, Corrine Hibbs, Chanute, Myrtle Lien, Chestian, Washington, Cleo West, Chanute, Emily Lien, Sumner, Washington, Rosa Rutledge, Kent, Washington, Bessie Schaible, Auburn, Washington and Louise Edgerle, Canton, Kansas; four sons, Leonard and Raymond, both of Chanute, Kenneth, Boone, Iowa and Herbert, Winfield; two sisters, Ada Colvin and Mary Horton; one brother, Mark, Sanger, California; 40 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humboldt. The Rev. Herman Seyfert will officiate and burial will be in the Huff Cemetery at Savonburg.
