Everett Robert Breshears, son of William Tom and Louisa Breshears, was born June 21, 1891, and departed this life October 9, 1958 at the home of a son in Independence, MO at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 18 days.

In September 1912 he was united in marriage to Lola Mullins. To this union three children were born, Zelma and Odie who survive him and Alma who preceded him in death. Lola also died in 1918.

In March 1919 he was married to Mealie May Southard. To this union one son, Dean was born. He also helped to rear two step children, Faye Admire and Chloia Stevens and helped to read two grandsons, Robert and Lee Roy Davidson of Texas. His companion preceded him in death September 15, 1958. There was just a month and a few days time between their passing which filled his request as he had said so many times since she left that he want to go to be with her.

He was converted at an early age and placed his membership with New Home Baptist church where he remained a member until death. He was a good neighbor and friend in the communities where he lived as long as his health permitted, but he had been in failing health for years with heart trouble which caused his passing. He was a good husband, father and step-father, none could be any better, and a wonderful grandfather. He loved his home and all his family very much.

Surviving are his three children, Zelma, Thomas and Odie Breshears, Kansas City, MO and Dean Breshears, Independence, MO; two step children, Faye Admire, Marshall, MO; and Chloia Stevens, Cross Timbers, MO; 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister, Ora Miller, Fristoe, MO; a half-sister Lowell Kirby, Kansas City, MO; two half-brothers, Sidney of Kansas City and William of California; a step-mother, Esta Breshears, Wapato, Washington, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Sleep on, dear Dad and take thy rest,
God called you home,
He thought it best,
A vacant place in our home,
A voice we loved is till,
But we will strive to meet you Dad,
Where we will never say farewell.
