The daughter of Alfred and Amanda L. Pottorff Benge, Mae married George Mutchler on 10 Sep 1894 in Davis Co., IA. Their children were Verna C., Wayland & Glen Mutchler.

Mutchler Services Conducted Today
Mrs. George Mutchler died Tuesday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Charles Baird of Floris. She was 76 years old the day of her death. She was a lifetime resident of Davis county and had been ill for several months.
She was Mary Belle Benge, the daughter of Alfred and Amanda Benge, and was born August 8, 1874, four miles southeast of Floris. She was married in 1894 to Mr. Mutchler who survives. She was a member of the Floris Baptist church.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Wayland and Glenn, at the home here; two grandsons whom she reared, Donald Archer of Moline and Dewey Archer of Davenport; a brother, John Benge of Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Hale and Mrs. Charles Baird of Floris, and three great grandchildren, a daughter, Mrs. Vera Archer; two sisters, Mrs. Dave Christy and Mrs. Douglas Clark, and three brothers, Chester, Will and Jeff, preceded her in death.
Services were conducted this afternoon at the Floris Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Jack Merritt of Eldon. Burial was in the Floris cemetery. The body was at the Curl Funeral home prior to the rites.
