Theodore E. "Teddy" Schissler, 59, Austin, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, in Austin.
Born Nov. 7, 1933, in Greeley. Colo. to Theodore E. and Helen (Hill) Schissler, he grew up in Kersey, graduating from Kersey High School in 1951. He attended Colorado State College, now the University of Northern Colorado, for one year and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for four years.
On Nov. 28, 1954, he married Irene Betty Stroh. To this union two sons were born. They later divorced and Teddy married Carin Sue Mizell. Carin and Teddy had one daughter.
Teddy moved to Texas in 1978. He was a real estate broker in Texas at the time of his death.
Teddy is survived by his wife, Carin [now deceased]; a daughter; two sons; a step-daughter; his mother, Helen Schissler of Greeley [now deceased]; and his step-mother, Laila Schissler of Greeley [now deceased]; three sisters; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. His father is deceased.
