Jane Haller married John Gilkey 12 Nov 1853 in Martin Co., IN. They had 11 children: Leticia Ann; William Elbert, whose first wife Mary Mariah Dunham Gilkey is buried at Mt Hope; Eliza E; Roxinia Cord (Romine); John Lewis; George Thomas; Nancy Jane who is buried next to her husband William Thomas Henderson; Clara Belle (Grew); Mary S; Charles Harrison; and Harriet Helen (Maynor).

John & Jane appeared on the Pierson, Vigo Co., IN census in 1880. They apparently moved from IN around 1884. Jane's husband died shortly after their arrival. Jane died of cancer, most likely skin cancer to her face.

In 1900 Jane is living with her son Charles and daughter Harriet in Sycamore, Montgomery Co., Kansas. I haven't found her in 1910, but believe she was still in Montgomery Co. I would love to hear from any family members in that area. Several people are anxious to hear from you.
