CLOVERPORT - AMBROSE C. MATTINGLY, 80, of Route 2, Hardinsburg, died Friday, Feb. 9, 1990, at Breckinridge County Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg. He was born in Breckinridge County and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Cloverport. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart medal. Survivors include two brothers, Robert Mattingly of Medford, Wis., and Bernard Mattingly; a half-sister, Melissa Coomes of Cloverport; and several nieces and nephews. Wallace Funeral Home, Cloverport, is in charge of arrangements.
