The death of Wilbur Covell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Covell at his home in this village Friday afternoon at 4:10 from encephatitis. He has been ill since the 1st of July taking his bed July 12th and gradually growing weaker until the end. Mr. Covell would have been 23 years of age if he had lived until Dec 24. He was a great sufferer and bore his suffering with great hope and patience, always thinking of others first. The funeral was held at his home Sunday at 1:30pm and the burial was made at Oldsville. Rev. McKirby from Morristown officiated assisted by Rev. Mang of Brasie Corners. The bearers were: Murray and Walter Rayburn, Kay and Wesley Knowlton, Frederick Turner and Clyde Tulley. THe floral tributes were many and bountiful as tokens of friendly relation among his associates, Wilbur was a kind and obliging fellow always ready to keep others in time of trouble. He leaves his father, mother, four brothers, Charles, Roswell, Woodrow and Frederick, who lives in Oakland, Cal and was unable to be present; two sisters, Amy and Faith to mourn the loss of a dear son and brother.
