Mr Allen was a mail carrier from Battletown to Wolf Creek for 40 years and rendered a great service to the people in his work.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Annie P. Allen,;4 sons, Charlie, Willett, Douglas and Bertrand Allen; 2 daughters, Mrs. Joetta Fritz and Mrs. Artie Lee Buckler; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Florence Spaulding and one brother, Mr. Clarence Allen.
Funeral services were held at the Wolf Creek Baptist Church, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. conducter by Rev. Lowell Cantrall. Burial was in the Parr cemetery directed by Sturgeon Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Bill, Edward, and Jerry Allen, Bob Clark, Carl Holman, Richard Hardesty. (Meade Co Messenger)
