Artie L. Buckler, 81, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1987 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
A native of Roberta, KY., she was born Aug. 26, 1905, the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Anna (Willett) Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. on March 2, 1981: four brothers, Bert, Douglas, Willett and Doc Allen: and a granddaughter Jeanne Holman.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cannelton.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Micky Clark, Mrs. Ann Holman and Mrs. Janet Hubbard, all of Tell City, and Mrs. Carol Roger of Jeffersonville: a sister, Mrs. Joetta Fritz of Tell City: seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb.27 at the First Baptist church in Cannelton, the Rev. J. D. Traylor will officiate, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Tell City.
Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton, was in charge of arrangements where friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday (today) until service time. The Auxiliary of Harry G. Myers American Legion Post conducted memorial services 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
