James Deloach was a Charter member of the newly organized Tifton Camp , United Confederate Veterans. They are listed in the Tifton GAZETTE 13 Aug. 1897 p.6. He is listed as Private in the group and it says he fought in the 29th GA Regt.
James DeLoach (1844-1903) was the son of Riley and Dora Ann Mathis DeLoach. His wife was Elizabeth Ann (Betsy) Shirley DeLoach, daughter of Jesse G. & Ann Shirley. His daughter, Georgia Ann DeLoach, married William F. Duggan of Lowndes County, GA. James DeLoach also had children by his second wife, Fannie Durham DeLoach. James DeLoach was a soldier in the CSA army having been wounded in both thighs at Jonesboro.
