Mr. William Rufus Brown of Sprio, Oklahoma, died Sunday morning, June 8, 2008, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Brown was the son of the late William Brown Jr. & Elsie Brown. He was the grandson of the late William & Rachael Brown (the original owners of the Sprio Mounds).
Mr. Brown accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of the Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church. He married Alice(Creig)Brown and their union produced one son: Ollie Edwad Brown.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife and his son.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 11:00a.m. in the Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma.
