Funeral For Mrs. Pappan Conducted At Washunga
Kaw City, July 24 - Funeral services for Mrs. Murphy Pappan, 55, who died at the Pawnee Indian hospital Saturday morning, were held at the Washunga school house Monday afternoon with the Rev. V.A. Johnson, pastor of the Newkirk Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Washunga cemetery.
Mrs. Pappan underwent a major operation at the hospital several days ago. She is survived by the widower; seven sons, Russell, of Grainola; Walter, of Hardy, Alvin, of Newkirk, Gordon, of Hardy, Clyde, Bill and Wasco Pappan, Washunga; and four daughters, Mrs. Tom Williamson, Newkirk, Mrs. Murphy Ashworth, Blackwell; Mrs. Bill Henderson of Hardy; and Dorcas Pappan of Washunga.
