She married Perry Glendon Slaugh Oct. 14, 1948. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Jan. 28, 1966. Ruby grew up in Jensen and later moved to Rangely, Colo., in 1952. She worked at Mr. S's clothing until 1986. Eventually she and Perry moved back to Vernal and retired in 1986.
The joy of her life was caring for others. She loved the LDS Young Women's organization and served in various positions in the LDS church. Her hobbies were collecting dolls and scrapbooking family pictures.
She is survived by son, Kenneth G. (Cela) Slaugh; and daughter, Connie Jane (Jeff) Green; also five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, May 30, at the Ashley LDS Stake Center at 11 a.m. A viewing was Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and at the chapel one hour prior to services. Interment was in the Jensen Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
