Son of Young Marion Langford (1831-1916) and Elizabeth Jane Nutt Langford (1834-1896), married to Mary E. Barton (1862-1944) their children where Etta Langford (1879–), Zetty Lee Langford (1882–), Lula A. Langford (1884–), Rufus Brady Langford (1886–), William C Langford (1891–), Bula May Langford (1894–) Nellie Iona Langford (1896–1986) Emmett Lester Langford (1899–1970), Ada Itasca Langford
(1902–) and David Young M Langford (1904–) He was murdered in a gunfight in a feud with the Williams family who was trying to kick them out of their share-cropper home after the Langfords had worked all year to bring in the crop and steal the crop from the Langfords by giving the home and crop to a Williams relative. One Williams man was killed as well.
