According to Family Search, Floyd Bangs was born November 14, 1893 in Arcada Township, Gratiot County, Michigan to Winfield Scott Bangs and Orelia (McCague) Bangs. He moved to Liberal, Kansas in 1908 with his parents, from Alma, Michigan.
Floyd was a veteran of World War I and served in the U.S. Navy.
According to the Seward County, Kansas history book, Floyd returned from the war and married Bessie Ella Richardson, of Liberal, on December 10, 1921. In 1925 they moved from Seward County to Grant County, Kansas and began farming. They lived on the farm for the remainder of their lives.
Floyd and Bessie had four children.
Floyd died on June 15, 1968 in Grant County, Kansas.
