William Buckley, 75, of Warrensburg died 8:05 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 15, 1991) in his home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Warrensburg United Methodist Church with visitation 9:30 a.m. until time of services, burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials: Warrensburg United Methodist Church or Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit. Brintlinger's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Buckley was born in Warrensburg on July 12, 1916, son of Elmer and Gertrude Disney Buckley. He, was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church and retired from Wagner Castings Co. after 42 years of service. He was a member of Wagner's Retirees Club and a charter member of Warrensburg Lions Club. He was a volunteer fireman for Warrensburg Fire Department for 48 years. He married Dora Marguerite Bear in 1937. Surviving are his wife; sons, James of Harristown; Dean of Hawkins, Wis.; brothers, Leonard of Warrensburg; Wallace of Omaha, Neb.; sisters, Evelyn Howey of Clinton; Doris Cunningham of Warrensburg; Iris Jones of Decatur; Shirley Leevey of Pana; Sylvia Bartels of Clinton; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
