Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Warrensburg United Methodist Church with visitation 9:30 a.m. until time of services, burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. He, was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church and retired from Wagner Castings Co. after 42 years of service. He was a member of Wagner's Retirees Club and a charter member of Warrensburg Lions Club. He was a volunteer fireman for Warrensburg Fire Department for 48 years. He married Dora Marguerite Bear in 1937. Surviving are his wife; sons, James of Harristown; Dean of Hawkins, Wis.; brothers, Leonard of Warrensburg; Wallace of Omaha, Neb.; sisters, Evelyn Howey of Clinton; Doris Cunningham of Warrensburg; Iris Jones of Decatur; Shirley Leevey of Pana; Sylvia Bartels of Clinton; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
