He was the son of John Harold and Peggy Sue (Creekmore) Rogers. He worked for a number of years as a supervisor for the Tule River Co-Op and later became a self employed carpenter in California. He also was a close personal friend and employee of country artists David Frizzell and Shelly West. In 1997, he moved to McAlester, where he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially holidays. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Rogers; a sister, Kimberly Sexton; his grandparents, Roy and Laura Bell Creekmore; a nephew, Wesley Baker; 11 uncles, and six aunts. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7th at Red Oak Cemetery at Canadian with the Rev. Casey Warford officiating. The procession will leave the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. for those who would like to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
