OBITUARY.
Mrs. Ernestina Doede, nee Marks, was born February 26th, 1856 in Germany, Province of Posen.
When a child of about 12 years of age, she came with her parents to this country, where they settled near Wanatah, Ind. June 9, 1878, she was united in marriage to Mr. Julius Doede. They made their home in Wanatah.
Of the 8 children, three sons and 5 daughters who were born to this union, one son and one daughter preceded their mother in death.
Last Monday, April 7th, she departed this life after an illness of a few weeks, at the age of 63 years, 1 month and 12 days.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Mr. Julius Doede; her daughters, Mrs. Albertina Wittmaack, of Wanatah; Mrs. Emma Galbreath, of Valparaiso; Mrs. Elsie Robinson, of Kioga Falls, Ohio and Miss Dora Doede, of Wanatah, and her sons, Albert and Frank Doede, of this place; 12 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 4 brothers and other relatives and friends.
