AT SOUTH BEND
Omer Wheeler, age 60 years, a former resident of Valparaiso, died Saturday evening at his home in South Bend after a five months' illness of heart disease.
He was born in Porter County on November 4, 1874, a son of Duane and Permella Wheeler. The early part of his life was spent In Valparaiso and vicinity.
In 1898 he was married to Elizabeth Jones, who died on June 20, 1924. To this union three children were born, Frankie, who died in infancy; Mrs. Cecil Grimes and
Duane Wheeler.
The family moved from Valparaiso to South Bend in 1920, where they have since resided.
Surviving besides the children are two grandchildren, Jane and Earl, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Horner and Mrs. G. W. Collins, both of Valparaiso.
The body was brought here from South Bend and memorial services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Frank A. LePell & Son funeral home on Monroe Street.
