Retha Dare McDaniel, 65, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 29, 2003. Graveside services were conducted Dec. 31 at Creston Cemetery, with interment following. Bro. Charles Barnes officiated.
Mrs. McDaniel was born March 16, 1938 in Cumberland County, the daughter of Willie Farmer Russell and Mary Ward Russell.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Stephens of Crossville; sons, Wade Russell of Crossville, Leonard McDaniel Jr. of Dayton, OH, and Lynn, Marc and Bruce McDaniel, all of Crossville; nine grandchildren; brother, Clyde Russell of Crossville; and sisters, Pauline Adams, Lois Slavens, Betty Brown, Rilda Wyatt and Roberta Hall, all of Crossville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard McDaniel Sr.; and brother, Leonard Russell.
Pallbearers were Walter Wyatt, Warren Wyatt, Willie Hale, Jerry Adams, Vernon Adams and Sam Burnett.
