Ogdensburg Republican Journal - Monday Jan 19, 1920
The funeral of Henry R. Earl of Tallapoosa, Georgia, was held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. F. D. Earl Sunday at 2:30pm. Mr. Earl was born in Lisbon 73 years ago and spent all of his younger days in this city, where he had many warm friends who will remember with pleasure his kindly, unselfish disposition.

For some years after leaving this city he had a position in Lexington, from where he would come every summer for two months of pleasuring with relatives and friends, on his dearly loved St. Lawrence. Those who were associated with him at that time will have thankful remembrance of some of their happiest experiences because of his thoughtful generosity and hospitality at his camp on Spencer's island.

For the past twenty-give years, he has been living near Tallapoosa, Georgia, where he had many kind friends, who will mourn his loss and miss his companionship.

The surviving relatives are Messrs. E. J. Earl and B.J. Earl and Dr. F.D. Earl, of this city; Messrs. John Earl and Grant Earl of New York City, Mrs. Charles Meade of Morristown; Mrs. Harlow Olmstead and Mrs. J. H. Kennedy of Canton, who regret very much that he did not live to fulfill his intention of coming among his own to spend his last years.
