Mr. Malone, 61, died Oct. 31, 2006, at his residence. He was born on April 8, 1945, to Francis Leo Malone and Alma Lee Allen Malone.
He was a 1963 graduate of Brookhaven High School and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He was a surveyor and was retired from Shell Oil and Atmos Energy. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, teaching them about hunting and fishing. He was a loyal NASCAR fan.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, Cala Malone; and his stepson, John McDonald.
Survivors are his wife, Linda McIntyre Malone; his stepson Daniel McDonald and wife Athena, of Brookhaven; his daughters, Lisa Beeson and husband Bobby, and Missy Smith and husband Kyrk, all of Brookhaven; his brothers, Mike Malone, of Natchez, Mitch Malone, of Meridian, and Mark Malone, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Sawyer Wallace, Shelby Wallace, Brandon Beeson, Logan McDonald, Emmaleigh McDonald, William McDonald, Brooklyn McDonald, all of Brookhaven, and Afton Linton, of Jackson; and his three great-grandchildren.
