Rena E. Goben, 81, of Rushville, passed away on September 6, 2018. She was born on January 3, 1937 in Jabez, KY to the late Eustis M. and Allie M. (McGowan) Tompkins. Rena married Kenneth E., Sr. in 1966 and he precedes her in death in 1997. She was a very dedicated hard worker from cleaning houses to managing supermarkets. Rena was part of a gospel singing group for many years. She enjoyed dancing and fishing in Florida.

Survivors include her children: Robert (Robin) Miller of Greenwood, IN, Rick (Roberta) Miller of Columbus, IN, Wanda M. Pettigrew of Seymour, IN, and Pauletta (Glenn) Merideth of Edinburgh, IN; brother, James M. (Vera) Tompkins of Fortville, IN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rena was preceded in death by her daughters: Patricia Diane Miller and Judith Petro; brothers: Elbert Tompkins, Carlie Tompkins, John Tompkins, William Tompkins, Travis Tompkins.

Services provided by Moster Mortuary.

Private burial will take place at a later date.
