Vergil Teeter of Flippin died on May 9, 1969 at Baxter General Hospital in Mountain Home. He was born on April 15, 1903 near Oberlin, Kansas, the son of Clarence and Nettie (Davidson) Teeter. He spent most of his adult life in Atchison, Kansas. His wife of 42 years was the former Myrtle Goforth. They moved to Arkansas in 1959. Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Lester Teeter of Cape Canaveral, Florida; and a sister, Edna Sawyer of Hiawatha, Kansas. Funeral services were held Sunday at Church of Christ in Flippin conducted by Rev. Doyle Davenport and Rev. Earl Berry. Burial was in Flippin Cemetery.
