Dr. and Mrs. J.S. Thompson of Gravette, attended the funeral of Dr. Thompson's sister-in-law, Mrs. Grant Thompson of Eureka Springs at Fayetteville on last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. F.E.Larrimore, also Mr. and Mrs. Warner St. John of Rogers also attended. Mrs. Thompson aged 65, died suddenly from a heart attack the day before, while at her husband's office where she had gone to get a letter. She was born Dec. 13, 1868 {tombstone has 1869} in Franklin County, her parents being John and S.M. Dunaway, both natives of Tennessee. She attended school and the state university at Fayetteville. Most of her married life was spent in Springdale, where her four children were born and reared. Among the children, Mrs. Earl Bird of Fayetteville and Clinton Thompson of Eureka Springs survive. She was a great church worker, being a prominent member of several patriotic societies.
