WANATAH -- Miss Ella Eckert, 76, died Friday at Lakeside Nursing home, Michigan City.
She was born in Wanatah on Sept. 1, 1893, a daughter of Herman and Emelie (Boldt) Eckert.
She was a retired employee of Continental Diamond Fibre company, Valparaiso, and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Women's Guild, Ladies Aid and Royal Neighbors of America.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Salem United Church of Christ with the Rev. Carl Renter officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Peek Funeral home from 10:30 a.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday and then at the church.
Royal Neighbors rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
